YOGIC APPROACHES TO PAIN Course

A Path to Freedom

Rhinebeck, NY
July 07, 2017 – July 09, 2017

Course:
SM17-2702-986
Continuing Education:10.5 hours
Teacher: Jory Serota

Do you experience pain or discomfort in your shoulders, neck, lower back, hips, or knees? You are not alone. These are the top five most commonly injured areas of the body.

Learn from Jory Serota, an orthopedic bodyworker and Iyengar-trained yoga teacher, how therapeutic yoga can help you work with your body to manage and potentailly eliminate pain and discomfort. Through a precision-based, alignment-focused asana practice, lecture, and discussion, you develop a deeper understanding of the mechanics of your body, as well as the physical and emotional strength to deal with pain.

This workshop is for students at all levels of yoga, including those with small injuries or minor aches and pains. It is not suitable for brand new beginners or those with severe injuries. Yoga teachers, massage and physical therapists, chiropractors, and other health-care professionals learn new techniques to use with their patients.
